Noted US hurricane forecasters see 4 more storms

MIAMI, Oct 2 (Reuters) The noted Colorado State University hurricane research team today predicted that the 2007 Atlantic hurricane season would see four more tropical storms, two of which would strengthen into hurricanes.

Its previous forecast, issued on September 4, called for 15 storms and seven hurricanes for the entire season, which began on June 1. The update issued today effectively increased thetotal to 17 storms, but cut the number of expected hurricanes to six.
