Maoists blow up residential building in Gaya

Gaya, Oct 2 (UNI) Maoists blew up the residence of an alleged police informant with dynamites at Navadih village under Mohanpur police station in the district late last night.

Police today said more than 150 armed Maoists attacked the two-storied building of Sanjay Kumar Yadav and razed it to the ground by exploding dynamites. They, however, allowed the occupants of the building to vacate it before the explosion, police added.

''After the incident, the activists of the banned outfit escaped raising slogans in favour of their organisations,'' police said, adding they also left pamphlets alleging Sanjay used to inform the police about their activities.

Massive combing operations had been launched in the area to nab the Maoists, police claimed, adding no casualty was reported in the incident.
