Jharkhand's first agri-schools inagurated in Dumka
Dumka, Oct 2 (UNI) To update the farmers on the latest agricultural technologies, Jharkhand has its two agriculture schools in Balidih and Chorkatta vilages in this district today.
While inagurating the first of its kind school in the state, Agriculture Minister Nalin Soren said the concept behind these schools was to provide technological education to the farmers through scientists and experienced farmers.
Mr Soren said three more schools would be opened in the district during this fiscal.
Every panchyat would have a similar school by the end of the next fiscal, Mr Soren said, adding that local agricultural institution ATMA had been entrusted for the running of these schools in the district.
