Jammu and Kashmir girl rescued in Bihar

Bettiah, Oct 2 (UNI) Bihar police rescued a girl, who remained traceless from Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir for the last 10 days, from Mathia Tola village under Shikarpur police station area in West Champaran district last night.

Police today said a raid was conducted at a hideout on the basis of tip-off provided by the state Police and rescued Simmi from the captivity of one Fakruddin who belonged to Haswa village in West Champaran district and was residing near the house of Simmi at Kharwara village in Anantnag. He was arrested in this connection.

''Jammu and Kashmir police has been informed about the rescue of the girl'', police said.

Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir police had informed the Bihar police about the incident and suspected Fakruddin's involvement in it. The Bihar police was also provided with details about Fakruddin, who was also missing from Anantnag during the last 10 days.
