Interactive Voice Response System launched by South Andaman

Port Blair, Oct 2 (UNI) The South Andaman District Administration of Andaman and Nicobar Chain has launched the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), and website containing all information on the different citizen services including land records, officials said today.

Inaugurating the IVRS and website yesterday, Chief Secretary Chhering lauded the efforts put in by the officials of the DC's establishment in developing the software and extending such facilities for the general public.

The IVRS will provide information to follow the instruction to know about the status of their applications, Deputy Commissioner K S Singh of the district told UNI today.

While the website, which will have in it land records status of publication, status of public grievances facilitate downloading of unsigned copy of the approved output, details of service such as where to apply and what forms and certificates are needed to be enclosed among others, the DC said. The software packages for the District Administration have been designed, developed and implemented by the National Informatics Centre in close coordination with the DC Office, he added.
