Gandhiji's ideals relevant even today: Governor
Bhopal, Oct 2 (UNI) Recalling the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi on his 138th birth anniversary, Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar today urged the people to follow his ideals.
Dr Jakhar, while addressing 'Sarvadharm prarthana' sabha, said Gandhiji's teaching had an universal appeal. He gave a message of good behaviour and conduct. This was being accepted by the whole world today.
He said Gandhiji wanted to end social injustice.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said 'Gandhi darshan' meant 'Bharat darshan'. He said Gandhiji's philosophy could alone provide way to humanity, which was burning in the fire of materialism.
Mr Chouhan also remembered former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary today.
