4 killed in explosion at fire crackers unit

Lucknow, Oct 2 (UNI) At least four people, including three of a family, were burnt alive while another five sustained severe burns in an explosion at a fire crackers unit in Purwa area of Unnao district.

The explosion occurred, when crackers were being manufactured on a mass scale for the festival of Diwali at Chimiyani village yesterday night, police said today.

While Paati (50), his wife, son Shahrukh (5) and another died instantly, five others were rushed to hospital in critical condition.
