SPO among two injured in Doda encounter
Jammu, Oct 1 (UNI) Two people got critically injured when militants opened fire on an operation police party in remote area of village Thathri in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir this afternoon.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Manohar Singh told UNI that militants opened fire on an operation patrol.
'' Two of our jawans including an SPO, got injured during the encounter which started around 12 noon and was still continuing,'' the SSP said.
He, however, said the militants belong to Lashka-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit and they may be two in number.
The injured have been identified as Jajal Din and SPO Rattan Chand. Both have been admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital Jammu.
