Six washed away in flash floods in AP

Guntur, Oct 1 (UNI) Six people, including two women, were washed away in separate incidents of flash floods in this district.

Police today said a 25-year-old woman was swept away in currents in Yeddu Vaguy brook. Two men, who went to her rescue, also met with the same fate yesterday.

In another incident, one mason drowned in Basavammavagu, while a motorcyclist was swept away in swerling waters of Kuppaganjivagu brook.

Yet in a separate mishap, a woman was washed away while crossing the flooded Golivagu stream. She was identified as Saidamma (45), police added.
