Hyderabad, Oct 1 (UNI) Denying any ''differences'' between the BJP and Janata Dal (Secular) in Karnataka, senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu today said the scheduled power transfer on October 3 would be a smooth affair.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Naidu, who was instrumental in bringing the two parties together for a 'coup' against the Congress in Karnataka, said ''We don't talk to our partner (JD-S) through the media.
We have performed our responsibility.
I am sure the JD(S) will honour the solemn assurance given to the people while forming the coalition government.'' As the deadline for power transfer is fast approaching, Mr Naidu, who is leaving for Bangalore tomorrow to monitor the political situation in Karnataka, quipped ''24-hour is too long a period in politics.'' He said the BJP had emerged stronger in local body elections in Karnataka and it had the majority to form local self government on its own in Hubli, Bellary and Mangalore.
