People of HP disillusioned with Cong: Shanta

Mandi, Sep 30 (UNI) Former Union Minister and BJP leader Shanta Kumar today said the people of Himachal Pradesh were disillusioned with the Congress government for its anti-people policies and rampant corruption.

He claimed that the BJP was poised to come to power in the forthcoming general elections.

Addressing a public meeting at Bhambla Mr Kumar said the BJP on coming to power would annul all appointments made by the Congress government in violation of rules and flouting the directions of the Supreme Court.

He further announced that the BJP if returned to power would ensure that pay scales, pensions and wages to all categories of employees were given on the Punjab pattern without any discrimination.

He declared that rooting out corruption would be one of the top priorities of the BJP government adding that stringent action would be taken against corrupt persons in and outside the government.

State BJP Chief Jai Ram Thakur, former PWD Minister Mahinder Singh, Damodar Dass MLA and BJP leader Inder Singh also addressed the meeting.
