The BJP president declined to make any comments on the Karnataka developments since it was under discussion and could not say anything that could jeopardise the talks.

Under the agreement, the JD(S) has to hand over its Chief Ministership to BJP on October 3 and support the government for the last 20 months of the term of Karnataka Assembly.
