New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) In a new trend wherein international operators have started using Nepali nationals for drug trafficking, a Nepal national was arrested from the IGI Airport with heroin worth Rs 40 lakhs.
Conduit Dub Bahadur, who was arrested on September 28, had concealed the contraband in 41 capsules inside his stomach, according to Customs officials.
Arrested by Customs sleuths on arrival from Kabul, Bahadur's awkward movements aroused suspicion after which he was medically examined, they said.
''400 grams of high grade heroin, worth 40 lakhs in international market was recovered from him.'' This is the first time that drugs have been seized from the 'arrival' lounge.
Earlier seven such cases of drug seizures were made, but all were from the departure hall, officials added.
