Lok Sabha speaker congratulates Anand

New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee today congratulated Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand on becoming the World Champion for the second time in his career.

The Lok Sabha Speaker said, ''By winning the World Championship, Anand made all of us Indians very proud.'' Expressing confidence about the future of Indian sports, Chatterjee said,''The truimph of Viswanathan Anand and our recent victories in hockey, football and cricket will inspire many more young Indians to excel in various sporting events in future.'' Anand, who last won the world championship in 2000, drew his 14th and final round game against Hungarian Grandmaster Peter Leko in Mexico City to claim the World title.
