Bangalore, Oct 1 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said that he will announce his 'decision' on transfer of power to BJP tomorrow-"Gandhi Jayanthi" day.

Talking to newsmen on the sidelines of a function here, he said that " I became Chief Minister due to pressure from the party legislators and now also I will take their opinion tonight and announce my own stand on the issue tomorrow after a function scheduled to be held in front of Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat, to mark the 'Gandhi Jayanthi'.

As per the agreement reached between Mr Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa who were catalysts in forging the JD(S)-BJP alliance, after JD(S) withdrew from Congress coalition in February 2006, the JD(S) was to enjoy the Chief Minister's post for the first 20 months and the BJP for the remaining 20 months before the next general election was due in 2008.

The exchange of the top post as per the agreement by the two parties had become a highly contentious matter with JD(S) supremo H D Devegowda and his son Mr Kumaraswamy casting a shadow over the power transfer by making repeated flip-flops during the last one month.

Mr Gowda seemed most reluctant to hand over the post to the BJP by raising some objection or the other while the BJP remained defiant and maintained that the power transfer would be smooth.
