Chandigarh, Sep 30 (UNI) Abhey Singh Chautala, who headed a faction of the Haryana Olympic Association (HOA) today condemned the Haryana Government's move of appointing an administrator to the democratically elected HOA.
He has termed the move as ''unconstitutional and illegal.'' In a statement here Chautala, said that the Sirsa state games to be held from October 2 to 4 would be held as per the schedule and the government's illegal step would not have any impact on the games.
He said that the government had no right to appoint an administrator as the HOA was not a government department but an independent body and there was no share investment from the government side in it.
Chautala said that HOA was organsing the state games as per the orders of the court and it was an IOA recognized Olympic Association. He said that this action of the state government had crossed all limits of dignity and he would soon file a petition against the Hooda government for contempt of Court.
The Haryana government had earlier in the day dissolved the two rival factions of the HOA and had appointed an Administrator in the larger interests of sports.
