New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) The BJP has chosen Gandhi Jayanti tomorrow to protest the Congress' onslaught on the sentiments on Lord Ram and The Ram-Sethu by the UPA constituent parties, particularly DMK and the Congress parties.
BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi in a statement said that Centre's affidavit denying the existance of Rama and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi issuing insulting comments was disgraceful and the government had taken no action. The BJP would organise mass singing of Ram Dhun 'Raghupati Raghava Rajaram' and Sundar Kanda of Ramacharita Manas on the Gandhi Jayanti day at all district headquarters throughout the country.
Noting the silence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi on the affidavit filed before the Supreme Court, DMK's poisonous campaign and to violent attacks let loose on Rambhaktas in Tamil Nadu, he alleged that the Congress had denied the existance of Rama, the inspirational figure for the Mahatma and the country before the apex court. "This a crime which can't be condoned", Mr Naqvi said.
