KUALA LUMPUR, Sep 30 (Reuters) Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee and Prayad Marksaeng combined for a final round eight-under 64 in the foursomes at the Kota Permai Club today to qualify for this year's World Cup.
The Thais completed the World Cup qualifier in 30-under-par 258 for a three-shot victory over Netherlands' Maarten Lafeber and Robert-Jan Derksen, who finished with 67 for a total of 261.
New Zealand, South Korea and the Philippines completed the top five places to join Thailand and Netherlands in November's World Cup finals at China's Mission Hills Golf Club.
The Kiwi pair of Richard Lee and Stephen Scahill finished third with 266, five shots behind the Netherlands, and one ahead of Korea's Lee Seung-ho and Lee Sun.
Tony Lascuna and Gerald Rosales put together 268 for the Philippines to secure the fifth and final qualifying place.
Singapore and Malaysia narrowly missed out when they finished joint sixth.
A total of 28 teams will compete in the World Cup in China from November. 22-25.
