Solution evaded to end the impasse on transfer of power

Bangalore, Sep 30 (UNI) Solution evaded to end the impasse between coalition partners Janata Dal (Secular) and Bharatiya Janata Party on transfer of power after BJP Senior Vice President Yeshwant Sinha, incharge of Karnataka, held talks with JD(S) Supremo and Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda here today.

Emerging out of the meeting which lasted for 40 minutes, Mr Sinha told newsmen that both the parties presented their respective views on the transfer of power issue and decided to meet again.

Mr Sinha said that one more round of talks may take place after he discuss the views of JD(S) with party leaders including L K Advani and Party President Rajnath Singh in New Delhi.

Declining to specify date for next meeting, Mr Sinha said that "if need be I will meet again." Mr Gowda, who was also present, said that he would also discuss with his party leader about the issues raised by the BJP during the meeting.

"We discussed many issues and may meet once again for another round of talks." Mr Gowda refused to divulge what transpired between them during the meeting.

Replying to a question whether talks failed, Mr Gowda shot back saying that "if necessary we will meet again".
