Jaipur, Sep 30 (UNI) The Gujjar Arakshan Sangarsh Samiti will launch the second phase of its agitation in rajasthan on October 2 with a 'jail bharo' pragramme by a mass arrest of five lakh members of the community.
The Samiti will start the agitation in all the seven divisional headquarters in the state in view of their demand for inclusion in the ST list.
Addressing a press conference here today, Samiti's core group leaders Vikram Singh Gujjar, Hari Singh Mahuva and Mukhya Gujjar said about five lakh Gujjars would get themselves arrested on the Gandhi Jayanti, of which one lakh will be from the Jaipur division.
They said the agitation would continue till the government fulfilled its seven-point agenda, which included a recommendation letter to the Centre supporting the inclusion of the Gujjar comunity in the ST list, government job to one member of the family killed in the police firing in the earlier agitaion, withdrawal of cases against Gujjar agitationists.
Mr Mahuva said if the government did not accede to their demands till October 10, Gujjar women and children would also join the stir.
