Karnataka imbroglio: JD(S) Legislature party meet tomorrow
Bangalore, Sep 30 (UNI) The Janata Dal (Secular) Legislature party will be meeting tomorrow to take stock of the political situation in Karnataka and discuss the transfer of power to the BJP, its coalition partner.
Talking to newspersons here, on the sidelines of the inauguration of 'Vartha Soudha', Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said, ''The JDSLP will deliberate and decide on the power transfer issue. There are certain things that needs to be considered by our Legislators.
I can't react on it openly.'' Declining to reveal his stand on the power transfer issue, he said, ''I will take a decision which would be appreciated by five crore people of the state.'' About the resignation tendered by Tourism Minister B Sriramulu, Mr Kumaraswamy, who was up in arms against the ''humiliation'' meted out to him by the minister, said ''the resignation does not have much importance at this stage''.
He said he received Mr Sriramulu's resignation, but was yet to decide on accepting it. ''I never asked for his resignation. The state is in the grip of a sensitive political situation. There is no urgency to decide on the resignation, which can wait for two or three days,'' he added.
