Talks for linking Raj-MP rivers progressing well: Shivraj Singh
Jaipur, Sep 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan today said signing of interstate agreement between MP and Rajasthan for linking the Chambal, Kali Sindh and Parvati rivers, was progressing well.
Talking to newspersons here Mr Chauhan said discussions were on and high level talks between him and his Rajasthan Counterpart Ms Vasundhara Raje would be held at later stage.
He said the linking of these rivers would be beneficial for both the neighboring states and would improve availability of water for irrigation and drinking purpose and improve power generation.
This would also pave way for effective recharge and augmentation of ground water table in the basin areas of both the states, Mr Chauhan.
