SWC intervenes into harrasment of woman employee in NALCO

Bhubaneswar, Sep 29 (UNI) The Orissa State Women Commission has directed the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NALCO to take immediate action against harrasment of a female employee of public sector company.

The woman, working as a senior assistant in the Human Resource department, in a petition to the commission has alleged that she was subjected to constant mental harrasment.

SWC Chairperson Namita Panda has warned the CMD of the company to resolve the issue within 15 days failing which the commission would take necessary action.

The woman, in her petition, had stated that she was living alone in her company's qaurter and alleged that some non-employees, living in the same block, were torturing her mentally by throwing used condoms in front of house and pasting obscene photographs on her door.

Despite her complaining to the authorites several times, no step was taken to stop such incidents so far, she further alleged.
