Bhubaneswar, Sep 29 (UNI) The Orissa State Women Commission has directed the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NALCO to take immediate action against harassment of a female employee of the public sector company.

The woman, working as a senior assistant in the Human Resource department, in a petition to the commission had alleged that she was subjected to constant mental torture.

SWC Chairperson Namita Panda has warned the CMD of the company to resolve the issue within 15 days, failing which the Commission would take necessary action.

The woman, in her petition, had stated that she was living alone in her company's quarter and alleged that some non-employees, living in the same block, were torturing her by throwing used condoms in front of her house and pasting obscene photographs on her door.

Despite her complaining to the authorites several times, no step was taken to stop such incidents so far, she alleged.
