New Delhi, Sep 29: Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams met Congress President Sonia Gandhi today at her residence a few hours after she arrived here on the last leg of her nearly a week-long tour of the country.
Ms Williams shared her experience with Ms Gandhi of successful expedition aboard the space shuttle "Disovery." Ms Gandhi wished her more accomplishments in future.
Ms Williams, who arrived here after attending the concluding session of the 58th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Hyderabad, was given a warm welcome by her fans and US Embassy officials.
She will be here for six days before leaving for the United States.
Ms Williams is likely to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today or tomorrow.
On Monday, Ms Williams will interact with school children and share the experience of her space odyssey.
She reached Ahmedabad on September 20 and visited her ancestral home in Jhulasan village in North Gujarat's Mehsana District and Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad.
