Lucknow, Sep 29 (UNI) Laying emphasis on the development of backward districts, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today inaugurated several schemes worth Rs 44868.17 lakh for the development of Ambedkarnagar district.
On the occasion of foundation day of the Ambedkarnagar, the CM announced various developmental schemes for the district from her residence.
''The development of backward areas was the priority of my government, so that its benefit could reach to persons of every community, '' Ms Mayawati said.
The CM inaugurated Rs 13.18 crore bridge on Mugalsarai-Faizabad rail route in Akbarpur.
A Rs 450 lakh power sub-station, Rs 148.44 lakh community health centre and a milk scheme worth Rs 1916.65 lakh were inaugrated in the district.
Besides, other schemes worth lakhs of rupees were initiated.
