PM Koirala presents Nepali cap to Prashant Tamang
Kathmandu, Sep 29 (UNI) Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala presented the country's traditional cap to newly crowned Indian Idol Prashant Tamang at the his official residence in Baluwatar this morning.
Tamang is in Nepal for the first ever live concert after his win.
He would perform in Kathmandu and Pokhara today and tomorrow.
Presenting the Bhadgaunle Dhaka Topi, a traditional hand made black cap, Mr Koirala said Tamang will be able to promote the centuries old friendly ties between Nepal and India.
A large number of Tamang's fans were seen around him when he arrived here yesterday.
Meanwhile, an indefinite curfew has been clamped in Siliguri of West Bengal after people went berserk following an alleged remark by a radio jockey of a Delhi FM channel about Tamang.
