Morkel, Philander to play big role in tomorrow's ODI

By Staff

Rajkot, Sep 29 (UNI) Albie Morkel and V Philander would play a big role in tomorrow's one dayer, said South Africa 'A' team captain Boeta Dippenaar.

Talking to mediapersons here this evening, Dippenaar said, ''I am happy as our team could play tomorrow's cruical match as two one-dayers were washed out following the rain, but here the atmosphere is good for the match.'' Albie Morkel and V Philander who were part of Twenty20 World Cup, joined the team and are key players for the side he said.

He said there were disappointments because both the team had been moving from place to place for the last ten days, trying to play some cricket, but rain had played spoilsport since the three-day game at Dharmshala.

Minimum 250 plus runs are good for any team, the South Africa 'A' captain said.

India 'A' captain Mohammed Kaif also echoed a similar view, saying that the pitch here is a batting track.

Kaif said, ''Our boys had played good game in three-day match at Delhi, where our team won the match and here too we would play our best game.'' Teams: India 'A': Mohammed Kaif (capt), Praveen Kumar, Parthiv Patel Suresh Raina, Manoj Tiwary, S Badrinath, S Aniruddh, Yo Mahesh, Karan Goel, Pragyan Ojha, Ishant Sharma, Arjun Yadav, Amit Mishra, Cheteshwar Pujara and Abhishek Nayar.
