Shimla, Sep 29 (UNI) The internal assessment system, introduced in all the undergraduate colleges of Himachal Pradesh, has substantially contributed in improving the academic atmosphere in the educational institutions, HP University Vice-Chancellor Anil Wilson said today.
The system helped in improving the academic atmosphere in the educational institutions of the state, he said while addressing university's Executive Council here.
Dr Wilson said besides following due procedure in promotions, the process of filling up vacant teaching and non-teaching positions was also underway.
Expressing concern over the university getting congested with each passing day, he said there was a severe space crunch in the institution where new courses have to be introduced.
He said Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh had directed the district administration to identify suitable land nearby for the university.
