Kochi, Sep 29 (UNI) Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official Taposh Chatterjee today expressed satisfaction over the ground conditions at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, venue of the second one-day international between India and Australia on October two.
Talking to reporters after inspecting the ground, BCCI Ground and Pitches Committee member Chatterjee however said that the outfield needed improvement. ''Certain patches in the out field should have to be filled with grass and rolling should be done,'' he added.
With more sun in the next two days, the field would be better, Mr Chatterjee said.
When asked about the track, he hoped that it could be a batting wicket.
He had expressed doubts over the ground conditions at the Stadium when he inspected it earlier this week.
