Chennai, Sep 28: Vodafone Essar and Research In Motion (RIM) today introduced the BlackBerry Curve 8310 and the BlackBerry 8820 in India to meet a variety of needs of the customers.
Exclusively available on the Vodafone network, the BlackBerry Curve 8310 is RIM's latest innovation with a feature-rich multimedia and built-in GPS, a release here said.
The BlackBerry 8820 was the first dual-mode BlackBerry handset, combining EDGE/GPRS/GSM cellular network and Wi-Fi connectivity with added GPS support.
The GPS-enabled BlackBerry Curve 8310 and the BlackBerry 8820 could pinpoint their locations and provide "out-of-the-box" support for a wide variety of location-based applications and services such as Google Map.
Available now at authorised Vodafone Essar corporate and retail channels, the BlackBerry Curve 8310 was priced at Rs 24,990 and the BlackBerry 8820 was priced at Rs 31,990, the releae added.
