Hyderabad, Sep 28 (UNI) Newly appointed All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary and MP Madhu Yashki Goud said there was no change on his stand on separate statehood for the Telangana and its development.
Arrived here from New Delhi after assuming the new role, he told newsmen he would honour the sentiments of the people of Telangana.
Mr Goud said the post would help him explain views of people in the government and also to discuss in party forum.
The Congress leader said he was a disciplined party worker and would strive hard to strengthen the party under the leadership of AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Andhra Pradesh Incharge M Veerappa Moily.
Earlier, a large number of his followers and party workers took out a procession from the airport to the party headquaters 'Gandhi Bhavan' where he was felicitated by the Congress leaders.
