Neo Sports announces largest line up of broadcast sponsors

By Staff

Mumbai, Sep 28 (UNI) Neo Sports today announced the largest ever line up of broadcast sponsors in India commencing with the seven-match ''Future Cup'' India versus Australia ODI series starting tomorrow.

The co-presenting broadcast sponsors of this Series are Hero Honda, Future Group, Reliance Mobile and Pidilite. The associate broadcast sponsors are LG, Intel, Perfetti and S Kumars.

The line up marks the re-entry of LG as a broadcast sponsor of cricket and the significantly enhanced commitments of Pidilite, Intel and S Kumars, a release issued here today stated.

Commenting on the deals, Sunil Manocha, Sr. VP Advertising Revenue of Neo Sports said, ''The enormous fragmentation in the general entertainment space combined with the massive surge in cricket ratings have led to a new high in demand for advertising on both international and domestic cricket leading Neo Sports to an unprecedented level of on-air deals well ahead of the commencement of the home season.'' The Future Cup India versus Australia line up has already been bettered with advertisers signing up for the Nov-Dec 2007 India versus Pakistan Test and ODI Series where as many as 10 broadcast sponsors have already been signed with two more expected to close next month creating a record high for televised cricket in India.

The line up consists of co-presenting sponsors Hero Honda, Future Group, Reliance Mobile and Pidilite; the associate sponsors are LG, S Kumar, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, Ultratech and INX Media. The arrival of INX Media represents the strengthening of an emerging trend in on-air advertising through cricket wherein new sectors are beginning to commit their spend to cricket, the only media vehicle that delivers a pan-Indian audience, emotional connect and the highest break viewership for any TV program, the release further stated.

Both Series will have Ambuja Cement as the action replay sponsor and Philips as a sponsor of wrap around programming.

For the first time ever a sports channel has signed a data sponsor in the form of Standard Chartered which will be the data sponsor for both Series, the release added.
