Kolhapur, Sept 28 (UNI) Prakash Gadekar, chairman of the Kagal town municipal council, was among the seven persons arrested in connection with the beating of a youth that resulted in a tense situation in the town yesterday.
Besides Gadekar, Kagal municipal councillor Ashok Jakate was also among the arrested.
On Anant Chaturdashi night, two groups, one led by Gadekar and other by Anil Chavan, clashed during ganesh immersion.
