New Delhi, Sep 28 (UNI) Heavy rains lashed Delhi this evening, bringing a cool air to the capital.
However, the maximum temperature of the day rose to 34.4 degree C, from 29.7 degree C.
Despite the rise in mercury, the cool Northwesterlies continued to bring relief from heat and humidity.
Earlier, the Delhiites woke up to a partly cloudy day, after two days of heavily overcast sky. The minimum temperature rose to 24.2 Degeree C, two degrees above normal.
The pleasant weather is likely to remain for the next couple of days with the weathermen forecasting more rain or thundershowers in the next two to three days.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possibility of rain or thundershowers in a few areas.
