Ahmedabad, Sep 28 (UNI) Former Home Minister Gordhan Zadafia in the Narendra Modi government, while hinting that the BJP rebels could float a new party if the central party leadership did not take cognisance of the opposition within the party to the chief minister, today said the rebels are open to all options and will take a decision about the future course of action before October 10.
Mr Zadafia, considered close to Mr Modi's bete noire former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel, told reporters here today that the party central leadership has been misled by the rosy picture painted by Mr Modi that BJP is sure to win 150 out of the 182 assembly seats in the forthcoming elections.
Mr Zadafia while describing Mr Modi as ''Adolf Hitler'', reminded the central leadership that the Chief Minister had assured to win 26 Lok Sabha seats in the last elections but the party had managed to secure only fourteen seats as against the 21 it had last held.
The rebel MLA said the dissidents are strong and are bent upon Modi's removal from Gujarat BJP.
He also pointed out to the central leadership that the farmers rally hosted by the rebels in Saurashtra recently, had attracted over 350,000 people which was a pointer to the strength of the rebels.
Mr Zadafia said that before the annoucement of the elections, the rebels will make their stand clear.
Strongly criticising Mr Modi, he said the Chief Minister was following the policy of Hitler -- Keep the people under fear and make them feel that he is their only saviour.
Mr Zadafia also alleged that the ongoing ''Vanchitona Vikasni Yatra'' by Mr Modi is an eye wash. On the contrary, Mr Modi has withdrawn all benefits to the poor and deprived classes, he alleged.
Quoting official figures, he said unemployment among the educated youth in Gujarat has crossed the 15-lakh mark.
