Taekwondo national coaching camp in Bangalore

Visakhapatnam, Sep 27 (UNI) The winners of 26th Senior National Taekwondo Championship will undergo a national coaching camp in Bangalore, Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) Secretary General T Praveen Kumar said today.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the winners would under go training under national coach Fariborz Ackari.

The team for the qualification tournament for 2008 Beijing Olympics had already undergone four months preparation at Ukku Indoor Stadium here.

Forty players were selected for the national coaching camp.

The players, who would be finalised after the camp, would be sent to Asian qualification tournament scheduled to be held from November 30 to December two at Ho Chi Min City in Vietnam, he said.

Kumar said the TFI had decided to establish five regional training centres at Delhi, Bangalore, Lucknow, Aurangabad and Imphal.
