Future Group in 3 year broadcast sponsorship contract

By Staff

Mumbai, Sep 27 (UNI) The Future Group, one of India's leading business groups with presence in retail, fashion, brands, financial services, media, insurance and other sectors, has entered into a 3 year broadcast sponsorship contract with Neo Sports and Neo Sports Plus, the two 24x7 sports channels launched by Nimbus earlier this year.

The deal may well be the largest ever multi-year broadcast sponsorship contract signed in the history of Indian television, signalling the Future Group's continued ascent and commitment to rapid growth, a release issued here today stated.

Kishore Biyani, Group CEO of the Future Group said, ''In a highly fragmented TV sector, cricket and sports stand out as the one vehicle that delivers a pan-Indian audience and a strong emotional connect with the brands that associate with cricket.'' The Future Group's broadcast sponsorship commences with immediate effect and will be launched with the India vs Australia ODI series, starting September 29, whose Series' title sponsorship has also been secured by the Future Group. The Series will thus be called 'The Future Cup'.

Commenting on the partnership with the Future Group, Harish Thawani, Chairman Neo Sports said, ''The past and present No. 1 media vehicle has always been cricket. The future is now only cricket and we are excited to partner with the Future Group, one of the most admired companies in India.'' Neo Sports has reserved only 4 positions for anchor broadcast sponsors, each of who will sign on for 3 year deals. The Future Group joins Hero Honda and Perfetti in this exclusive club. Neo Sports will announce a fourth anchor broadcast sponsor next month, the release added.
