Chiranjeev Milkha honoured with Padamshri Award

Chandigarh Sep 27 (UNI) Famous golfer Chiranjeev Milkha Singh was today conferred with with Padamshri Award on behalf of the President of India, by Chief Secretary Punjab Ramesh Inder Singh, for his unmatched performance and achievement in sports.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Ramesh Inder Singh said that Punjab state was indebted to players like Chiranjeev who had brought laurels to the state at national and international levels.

Present on the occasion were flying sikh, Milkha Singh, father of Chiranjeev, himself a recipient of Padamshri in 1958, Nirmal Milkha Singh and prominent sports personalities and senior officers of the government.
