3 pilgrims die in bus accident

Korba, Chhattisgarh, Sep 27 (UNI) Three women died on the spot and 20 others injured when a private bus carrying at least 35 pilgrims from Bilaspur to Gaya in Bihar overturned in Korba district of Chhattisgarh last night, police said.

The deceased were identified as Saroj Pande(45), Kanti Sahu (42) and Suman Tiwari(48).

The accident occurred at Parla village near Chotia police outpost, 75 km from here, as the driver lost control, police added.

Two seriously injured were admitted to the medical college hospital at Bilaspur and six others at Pondi community health centre. The driver and conductor were among the injured.
