Rewa firing: SHO line attached
Rewa, MP, Sep 26 (UNI) Churhata Station House Officer B D Tiwari has been line attached in connection with the firing outside Jaypee cement factory at Nawastha in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh on September 22.
Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi told reporters here today that another police official S P Chaturvedi had also been line attached.
He said the government had directed to transfer Sub-Divisional Officer Shivpal Singh and tahsildar Shivani Pandey. Their transfer orders would be issued soon.
Mr Vishnoi said State Electricity Board junior engineer A P Agnihotri has been transferred on the complaint of instigating agitators.
He said inquiry into the incident was underway and guilty would not be spared.
One person was killed and 33 others injured when a slogan-shouting mob of villagers seeking employment was fired upon this morning at the factory gate on September 22.
Later, City Superintendent of Police Nischal Jharia has been line attached after prima facie he was found negligent.
