Ram Setu: AIADMK activists stage demo
Puducherry, Sep 26: Volunteers of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) today staged a demonstration in front of the Head Post Office here, demanding the dismissal of Tamil Nadu government following the derogatory remarks made by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Lord Rama.
Anna Trade Union vice-president Rasa, who led the agitation in which three party legislators and office-bearers participated, raised slogans against Mr Karunanidhi for his remarks.
Later, over 1,000 volunteers, including the legislators were arrested when they marched to the Rajnivas from the Post Office to submit a memorandum to the Lt Governor Mukut Mithi in this regard.
