Punjab BJP ready to face mid-term Lok Sabha polls: Bhandari

Moga, Sep 26 (UNI) Punjab BJP President Rajinder Singh Bhandari today said UPA government would fall any time due to differences with the left parties over the issue of nuclear deal.

Mr Bhandari while talking to mediapersons here said the state BJP was fully prepared to face mid-term Lok Sabha polls any time.

In reply to a question, Mr Bhandari said if there was mid-term polls both SAD-BJP would jointly fight the elections and there were absolutely no differences in the alliance partners in the affairs of the government.

In reply to other questions, Mr Bhandari said the party was taking up the issue of collectorate's of enhanced property in the urban areas. He further added that proposed hike of power rates by the electricity regulatory authority would be taken up with the Chief Minister. He hoped that everything would be settled in a smooth way to the satisfaction of the people.

Mr Singh Bhandari said party's core group would be meeting tonight at party's state headquarter at Chandigarh to review the performance of the BJP MLAs and ministers.

He also said the BJP state high command would also hold a meeting with BJP MLAs and ministers to discuss their last six months performance as per the implementation of party's election manifesto.

He said the party was committed for the implimentation of its manifesto.
