New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) Bollywood matinee idol Dev Anand today said for him life was ''a continuing experience'' and so one book could not contain in itself his complete persona.
''One book cannot contain in itself the complete Dev. Many more will be needed for bringing out the complete person that is Dev Anand,''the yesteryear' Bollywood heartthrob said in an informal talk with mediapersons at the press club here tonight.
Typical of his philosophy of ''taking in the stride the highs as well as lows of life'', Dev Anand, in his first media interaction after the release of his autobiography 'Romancing With Life' by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi earlier today, said he had already forgotten about the book.
''Life for me is a continuing experience. Even at this time, amid all you press people I am experiencing a wonderful emotion which I might pen in some book later,''Dev Anand said.
Asked whether his book contained an account of his liasons with many of the beautiful leading ladies of Bollywood, the most notable of them being Suraiyya, Dev said,''the book contains not only aspects people know about my relationship with Suraiyya but also what is not known. For knowing these you have to read the book.'' On his visit to the press club, Dev Anand said,''I am myself a member of the press club. So I have come to meet all of you mediapersons here.'' On this occasion, the Bollywood actor, producer and director, who turned 84 today, also cut his birthday cake.
Asked whether his film 'Hum Dono' was being colourised, Dev said,''I myself did not want to colourise the film. However, my fans abroad wanted to colourise my works and the most suitable of them for being colourised seemed 'Hum Dono'. However, when I watch the colourised version now, it seems so beautiful, almost as if it is original.'' UNI
