Heavy downpour affects SER train services

Kolkata, Sep 26 (UNI) Train services on Howrah-Kharagpur section of South Eastern Railway continued to be disrupted due to waterlogging at Tikiapara and Howrah yards resulting in rescheduling and short termination of a number of trains.

An SER release said here today 2021 Howrah-Barbil Jan Shatabdi Express was rescheduled at 1130 hrs instead of 0625 hrs from Howrah, while 8645 Howrah-Hyderabad East Coast Express was rescheduled at 1600 hrs instead of 1145 hrs from Howrah today.

2841 Howrah-Chennai Coromandal Express was rescheduled at 1930 hrs instead of 14.50 hrs from Howrah, while 2074 Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express was short terminated at Kharagpur and would run as 2073 from Kharagpur.

2828 Purulia-Howrah Express was short terminated at Santragachi, while 8616 Hatia-Howrah Express was also short terminated at Santragachi.

2021 Howrah-Barbil Janshatabdi Express was short terminated at Tatanagar, the release added.
