TOKYO, Sep 26 (Reuters) The euro hit a record high against the dollar on Wednesday after a plunge in U.S. consumer confidence and data showing more housing market weakness raised expectations that the Federal Reserve may cut interest rates again next month.
The euro jumped to a high of $1.4160 on electronic trading platform EBS, the highest since the single European currency was launched in 1999.
