New Delhi, Sep 26: Software services company Core Projects&Technologies Ltd today said it will acquire two firms in the UK, Azzurri Education and Hamlet Computer Group, and one US-based company, KC Management Group, for Rs 45 million dollars, consolidating its position as a dominant player in the education sector.
The acquisitions will be completed by month-end.
An IT company with focus on education products and solutions, Core Projects will attain a market leadership position in the global education space with these acquisitions. The acquisitions bring with them products and solutions which the company currently does not have. With the addition of these products, it is well on its way to becoming an end-to-end solutions provider in the global education space, a company statement said.
The above acquisitions will add more than a dozen products to the Core Projects existing repertoire of education products.
The addition of these products to the company's existing portfolio of education solutions will enable it to strengthen its position in the education sector in India, the statement added.
These products incorporate the critical software components required by administrators and educators in the country to successfully implement mission mode programmes like the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA). With time tested and 'go to market' products readily available with it, the company will be in a position to substantially reduce the implementation period of' programmes like the SSA, the statement added.
