Bhopal, Sep 26 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that several key decisions, taken by senior leaders during the Bharatiya Janata Party's recently-concluded three-day National Executive meeting here, would provide fresh direction to national politics and have far-reaching impact.
''The enthusiasm among workers and the teeming multitude -- numbering lakhs -- that thronged a public meeting here at short notice showed that widespread public support and excitement exist for the BJP's policies and programmes,'' he told UNI.
Unanimous decisions taken included blowing the poll bugle in view of the strong likelihood of mid-term general elections and the conducting of an active countrywide agitation through the medium of the Ram Sethu Raksha Manch, Mr Chouhan said while praising both bigwigs and lower-level workers for their disciplined contribution.
''The meet witnessed full participation by every state. The BJP has reached the masses as a party that touches one and all,'' he claimed.
