Atlas Copco unveils new plant in Nashik

Nashik, Sep 26 (UNI) Atlas Copco (India) Ltd today unveiled its new state-of-the-art construction and mining equipment manufacturing plant in Satpur MIDC area here.

The facility was inaugurated at the hands of Atlas Copco AB, Sweden senior vice president and business area president (construction and mining technique) Bjorn Rosengren.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rosengren said ''India's economic progress in the recent years is unbelievable and Atlas Copco is poised to take advantage of the growth opportunities thrown up by the Indian economy.'' In this regard, India holds great strategic importance for the company, he emphasised.

He said the company was committed to offer best solutions to the customers.

Present on the occasion were Atlast Copco (India) Ltd's managing director Mike Mustapha, general manager (marketing and sales) Kishore Sidhwani and general manager (Nashik plant) C Pandit.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Mustapha said ''The company's growth has been remarkable with the growing Indian economy.'' He announced that a world-class logistics centre would be set up in Pune soon.

A mural symbolising the company's journey was inaugurated at the hands of Mr Rosengren on the occasion.
