Myanmar riot police deployed after protests end
YANGON, Sep 25 (Reuters) Eight truckloads of armed riot police moved into central Yangon today after a second day of mass protests against Myanmar's military junta ended without incident, a Reuters witness said.
The police, carrying shields, batons and rifles, deployed in the Botataung part of the city, near the end-point of the biggest anti-junta marches in nearly 20 years, the witness said.
